• 2026/27 Plans and Membership Fees

Following a full review and given our growing membership and ambitions to better support members your Executive Committee agreed to increase the standard membership fee to £66 from January (a 10% increase). We’ll provide a fuller update at the AGM, but specifically we plan to:

    • Invest in equipment including an Automatic External Defibrillator
    • Provide financial support for team relays including Cotswolds, South Downs and Welsh Castles
    • Establish a hardship fund
    • Cover team entry fees for championship events
    • Create a fund to support travel to championship and other key events

We’re also continuing to push the University for access to the athletics track. They haven’t yet offered a suitable time slot, but we’ve budgeted to cover the initial costs if one becomes available.

As England Athletics has already communicated, the individual affiliation fee is also increasing by £3 to £23, bringing the total cost of first-claim membership to £89. Discounted rates continue to apply: students paying their own fees (25% off), out-of-region members (33% of full fee), and social members (33% of full fee). We will write to you in early March with your individual renewal statement and the opportunity to update your details.

As always, we welcome your feedback, so please feel free to get in touch with me or any of your committee members.
