Ruben qualifies to represent Team GB at the European Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run Championships in Madeira in July
Ruben competed in the Biathle European Qualifiers in Blackpool on 14 April 2024.
The biathle is a 1200 metre run-200 metre swim-1200 metre run with continuous transitions.
Conditions were good although a little cold. Ruben was first into the pool after a strong run, he maintained his lead in the pool, once out of the pool he had another strong run, to finish in first place.
The top 6 in each age category qualified to compete in Madeira. Ruben will be competing in the individual event and in the mixed relay in July, where the swim will be open water rather in a pool.
