Race 9 of 12 in the Hampshire Road Race League 2026/27 season, organised by Alton Runners and Alton Lions.

The date shown here is provisional. The league's 2026/27 fixture list gives this race as "May 2027", with the specific date still to be confirmed. Entry fees for 2027 have not been published; the 2026 edition was £19 affiliated and £21 unaffiliated as an early bird, rising to £21 and £23 afterwards, plus a booking fee.

A scenic, undulating 10 mile course through the Hampshire countryside and village lanes. Race HQ is Eggar's School, London Road, Holybourne, Alton GU34 4EQ — at the eastern end of Alton on the main road towards the A31. The start is at Holybourne Cricket Ground, roughly a 20 minute walk from race HQ, with the finish back on the school grounds. Numbers and chips are collected on race day from race HQ.

Minimum age 17 on race day. No dogs, wheeled vehicles or accompanying cyclists, and the course is not wheelchair accessible. There are no entries on the day and the race sold out in 2026, so enter as soon as entries open.

You enter directly with the organising club — Winchester Running Club does not book places. Mark yourself as attending here so we know who is racing, and wear your club vest: results count towards the league and the club Grand Prix.
