About this event
Threshold training for senior and masters athletes — longer, controlled efforts at a pace you could hold for around an hour.
Everyone warms up together with coach-led drills at 7:00pm, then the lead coach briefs the session: how many repetitions, how long, and at what pace. You run in a group with people at roughly your speed, and the coaches stagger the starts and keep the time so that you do not have to.
Once the ground turns, this session usually moves to St Catherine's Hill for hill repetitions — we play it by the weather, so check the venue before you set off.
No booking — just turn up. Come ten minutes early, find the volunteer checking people in and introduce yourself. Your first three sessions are free.
