Gosport Half Marathon — HRRL 4
Race 4 of 12 in the Hampshire Road Race League 2026/27 season, organised by Gosport Road Runners.
A flat, fast two-lap half marathon along the Lee-on-the-Solent promenade, widely regarded as a PB course, with five water stations and a samba drum band at four and 10.5 miles. The race starts at 10:00am on Browndown Road, about 140m from race HQ at King's Academy Bay House Sports Centre, Gosport PO12 2QX. Minimum age 17 on race day. Not suitable for wheelchair athletes; no pushchairs or buggies. Only bone-conducting headphones are permitted — "open ear" designs are not, and runners wearing them will be disqualified.
The field is capped at 2,000 and sold out last year, so enter early. There are no refunds or deferrals, but transfers are allowed until 6:00pm on Friday 13 November (affiliated runners may only transfer to other affiliated runners). If the race fills there will be a waiting list. Entry fees are shown on the organiser's entry page.
Race numbers are not posted. Collect them from race HQ either on the Saturday before (10:00am–3:00pm) or on race day. The race car park is signposted from the B3333 Privett Road, does not open until 8:00am and fills quickly; overflow parking is on the Stokes Bay seafront car parks, which charge for stays over two hours. Parking at the Sports Centre, on Browndown Road or on Gomer Lane is not permitted.
You enter this race directly with the organising club — Winchester Running Club does not book places. Use the registration link on this page, then mark yourself as attending here so we know who is racing. Wear your club vest: results count towards the league and the club Grand Prix.
