DESCRIPTION:Our own monthly handicap race\, on the first Thursday of the mo
 nth\, in place of the senior training session. Free\, and open to anyone w
 ho wants a go.\n\nThe slowest runners start first and the fastest start la
 st\, so in theory everybody finishes together and anyone can win. It is th
 e friendliest racing we do\, and a good first race if you have never pinne
 d a number on.\n\nMeet at the bus stop on Stoney Lane. Park in St Matthews
  Road or Vernham Road rather than on Stoney Lane itself. If it is your fir
 st one\, come a few minutes early so we can work out your handicap.\n\nJun
 iors train at Gaterfield as usual on handicap evenings.
