Another packed weekend of racing saw athletes from Winchester Running Club compete across a variety of distances.
First up was Ruben Price, fresh from a top 20 finish at last weeks National Schools Cross country Championships. Ruben is one of several talented tri-athletes in the club and he stormed to victory in the British Schools Modern Biathlon Championships held at the University of Bath. Ruben showed his strength in both the pool over 200m and on the track over 1600m to claim the gold medal.
Fellow junior Seth Noott, who like Ruben was winner of his age group this season in the Hampshire cross country league, turned his attention to the road. Competing in the South of England U15 5km championships he cruised to a comfortable gold medal in a time of 16:34.
